Pixi by Petra Strand celebrates 15 years of beautification with ease.

This Fall marks the 15th anniversary of Pixi by Petra, a cosmetic and skin care range dedicated to gals on the go who want to look primed and polished at a price that won’t break the bank. To commemorate the occasion, this beauty brand that’s big at Target (where it is an exclusive partner) will unveil a limited edition nail lacquer, Crystal Champagne, a rose gold confetti hue. Created more than 10 years ago and launched in a flagship boutique in London, Pixi has a loyal worldwide following thanks to its awakening and skin-loving products that create a naturally radiant “just had a good night's sleep” look, said the company. As a busy working mother, Strand created the multitasking, flaw-fixing, youth-enhancing products for women with no time to spare, she explained in an interview with Happi.com. “I have always been involved in the beauty industry, either in front or behind the camera. My career started as a model, then I worked for a makeup artist and as makeup artist. Everyone used to come to me for recommendations and ask for customary blends, so one day as I was sitting there mixing colors and textures it occurred to me there was an opportunity,” she said. “It was a no-brainer, I need to develop a cosmetic line that simplified one’s beauty routine and enhanced one’s natural beauty.” According to the company, top selling SKUs include the Glow Tonic, Cheek Gel, Illuminating Tint & Conceal and Lash Booster. And Strand contested that the innovations will keep expanding at the company due to a bountiful and loyal fan base. “So many exciting things are happening in makeup and I think we are going to continue to see makeup/skin care merge, as well as getting salon effects at home without the need for certain equipment,” she told Happi.com. “For example, the super long-lasting gel nail polish without the need for the UV light. It is about staying on top of technology and always striving for nothing but the best as well as having your own vision. “We will continue to see more awareness regarding ingredients too. With every product that launches for Pixi we try to combine the most important factors to create makeup solutions we all want in our makeup bag. The absolute best ingredients, formulas and textures in the highest performing packaging is what we strive for … the world of beauty is constantly evolving, so we are excited about the future for Pixi. What’s key is understanding your customer and providing product that provides a solution. We listen and communicate with our consumers a lot.”
